![]() | You scored as Satanism. Your beliefs most closely resemble those of Satanism! Before you scream, do a bit of research on it. Satanism is a religious or philosophical movement centered around Satan or another entity identified with Satan, or centered around the forces of nature, particularly human nature, represented by Satan as an archetype. To be a Satanist, you don't actually have to believe in Satan. Satanism generally focuses upon the spiritual advancement of the self, rather than upon submission to a deity or a set of moral codes. Do some research if you immediately think of the satanic cult stereotype. Your beliefs may also resemble those of earth-based religions such as paganism. 01:24 am - great thoughts
Thanks to an LJ friend from whose journal this link has been followed. I paste that matter here.
You must spend some time with your loved ones, because they are not going to be around forever, says comedian George Carlin
The paradox of our time in history is that we have taller
buildings but shorter tempers, wider freeways, but narrower
viewpoints. We spend more, but have less, we buy more, but
enjoy less. We have bigger houses and smaller families, more
conveniences, but less time. We have more degrees, but less
sense, more knowledge, but less judgment, more experts, yet
more problems, more medicine, but less wellness.
We drink too much, smoke too much, spend too recklessly, laugh
too little, drive too fast, get too angry, stay up too late,
get up too tired, read too little, watch TV too much, and pray
too seldom. We have multiplied our possessions, but reduced
our values. We talk too much, love too seldom, and hate too
often.
We've learned how to make a living, but not a life. We've
added years to life not life to years. We've been all the way
to the moon and back, but have trouble crossing the street to
meet a new neighbour. We conquered outer space but not inner
space. We've done larger things, but not better things.
We've cleaned up the air, but polluted the soul. We've
conquered the atom, but not our prejudice. We write more, but
learn less. We plan more, but accomplish less. We've learned
to rush, but not to wait. We build more computers to hold more
information, to produce more copies than ever, but we
communicate less and less.
These are the times of fast foods and slow digestion, big men
and small character, steep profits and shallow relationships.
These are the days of two incomes but more divorce, fancier
houses, but broken homes. These are days of quick trips,
disposable diapers, throwaway morality, one night stands,
overweight bodies, and pills that do everything from cheer, to
quiet, to kill. It is a time when there is much in the
showroom window and nothing in the stockroom; A time when
technology can bring this letter to you, and a time when you
can choose either to share this insight, or to just hit
delete.
Remember, spend some time with your loved ones, because they
are not going to be around forever. Remember, say a kind word
to someone who looks up to you in awe, because that little
person soon will grow up and leave your side. Remember, to
give a warm hug to the one next to you, because that is the
only treasure you can give with your heart and it doesn't cost
a cent.
Remember, to say, 'I love you' to your partner and your loved
ones, but most of all mean it. A kiss and an embrace will mend
hurt when it comes from deep inside of you. Remember to hold
hands and cherish the moment for someday that person will not
be there again. Give time to love, give time to speak, and
give time to share the precious thoughts in your mind.
How to stay young:
1. Throw out nonessential numbers. This includes age, weight
and height. Let the doctor worry about them. That is why you
pay him/her.
2. Keep only cheerful friends. The grouches pull you down.
3. Keep learning. Learn more about the computer, crafts,
gardening, whatever. Never let the brain idle. 'An idle mind
is the devil's workshop.' And the devil's name is Alzheimer's.
4. Enjoy the simple things.
5. Laugh often, long and loud. Laugh until you gasp for
breath.
6. The tears happen. Endure, grieve, and move on. The only
person who is with us our entire life, is ourselves. Be ALIVE
while you are alive.
7. Surround yourself with what you love, whether it's family,
pets, keepsakes, music, plants, hobbies, whatever. Your home
is your refuge.
8. Cherish your health: If it is good, preserve it. If it is
unstable, improve it. If it is beyond what you can improve,
get help.
9. Don't take guilt trips. Take a trip to the mall, to the
next county, to a foreign country, but NOT to where the guilt
is.
10. Tell the people you love that you love them, at every
opportunity.
And always remember:
Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by
the moments that take our breath away.
Now I have to google for George Carlin

12:48 am - mutual friends
I have created my user account on 25-05-2004. Ever since I have visited numerous journals. I have made 7 posts. My posts have received 37 comments so far. I wish to thank all LJ friends who have added me as friends. Only one user whom I have added as a friend
sukanya requested me to delete from my friends list, which I did promptly. As I am new to the community I request LJ friends to clarify one point. Will it be OK for me to add any user as a friend or do I have to request them permission to add as friend. I have now become a little familiar with site navigation. Once I get familiary I intend to post regularly.

12:26 am - My rant about office telephones
It appears a lot of my colleagues at office are addicted to telephones. I can never understand why somebody should have a conversation that lasts about 30 minutes. My office has about 8 telephone lines. Three of them are direct connections to big bosses. One line is connected to Fax and another one to Internet, which nobody in the office cares to use. That leaves only 3 lines to ordinary mortals like us. The main problem it appears is with colleagues whose spouses are working. Because of double income status they enjoy both wife and husband carry cell phones. Yet they donot use them to make outward calls. They use office line to make outward calls and cell phone to receive the inward calls. If they donot get outward dial tone they will use the sophisticated facility of EPABX to keep it in que bye pressing Flash 5. Then there are colleagues who are highly indebted to sundry credit card companies. So they get about half a dozen reminders from credit card companies. Fortunately these calls donot last for much longer duration because such conversations are normally brief with a promise to clear dues at a future date. And in the meanwhile if some unfortunate guy like me wants to make some business calls what I get is a busy signal whenever I try to access out-side line. With great difficulty I get the line. At that time the line which I call gets busy. I disconnect to dial again. Lo and behold somebody grabs the outward line again. Well this blog remains in-conclusive.

01:01 am - Response to my first post
I never expected such overwhelming response from LJ frineds to my first post. Thank you one and all. Well due to expensive dial up connection that I have at home my net surfing sessions are few and far in between. Even though my office has an internet connection, I hardly find time to use it due to heavy work in office. So I normally log in after 9 PM. So there will be some gap in between my posts. I have installed a dictionary from some of old CHIP MAGAZINE CDs by name WebWord. It is really good. It has got plugged into my MS Word. Any word that I double click, my faithful WebWord opens in a new window with the definition. I really liked it. The only problem with my free version of WebWord is that it does not allow wild card search and to type a few characters of the word so that it can complete it. For that I need to buy a paid version, which is beyond my paying capacity. To-day I have bought Cambrdige Advanced Learner's Dictionary that has come with an accompanied CD. This CD really rocks. I need not even click or double click a word. I simply place my cursor on any word in MS Word or Internet Explorer the definition immediately appears in accompanying window. I liked this feature very much. Now coming to user pic it may take a few more days for me. I have already selected a jughead picture from google. Now I have to read the faq and upload it. I will do it soon. I hope to continue my autobiography soon.

12:05 am - My generation
Ever since I got enroled to live journal I have been wracking my brain on a subject matter for my first post.
Well, first of all let me introduce my-self. Of course some of the data is available in my user infor of LJ. Anway it
is in database format. That I will write in a free format.
I was born in 1955 in a small town by name Ponnur in Guntur District of Andhra Pradesh. I was born in a huge
family of 9 brothers onesister. My father was business. Now a days it may look like a huge family. But in those
days nobody ever had any concept of family planning. A normally familyh is size is in the range of 6-9 . If some
of them are girls and some are boys family would not look so big.
Well I had my entire education from primary upto graduation in my native place.
One way my generation, I think, has been subject to so much change which no other generatin would have
undergone. Well, I explain my concept in more detail in future postings.
Having been born in a rural area has its own draw backs. Now a days kids have huge dreams. Dreams like
becoming engineer, going abroad, moving around cars, making millions etc etc. But in my days dreams are
very very much limited. For instance things like becoming a bank clerk. Once having achieved that I almost
thought I have reached top of the world and never even tried to improve on that.
I have completed my commerce graduation in 1975. Then got a job in a bank by name 'New Bank of India' in
1977. Compared to these days opportunities available to graduates just out of college are very few and limnited.
Many people considered me lucky for having landed in a decent job, at least in their view, within just 2 years of
completing graduation. Well that bank no longer exists. It got merged with another nationalised bank 'Punjab
National Bank' in 1993. Well my experiences in both these banks are an entirely different story. One day I wish
to elaborate on them.
So far nobody has written his autobiography in this format in live journal. At least I have not come across any
such posting. I know my life is not much interesting from the perspective of a common man. Still I keep writing
and I dont know how many people will read this. Due my lack of expeience in writing for public, this is my first
public post, I am using simple language. Of course there is nobody to edit them. Any suggestions for
improvement in any aspect are most welcome.
I donot plan to write this journal in an chrnological order or in any logical order. I will just note down the
thoughts that I come across and post them. I am not even sure whether how long I can continue this. Let us
see. Only time will tell.
I plan to continue with this auto biography in instalments. Let us see what will happen.
Before I sign off for the day I thank all my friends who have added me back as their friends. Loch says I have 6
mutual relationships, who are appearing in white background. Thanks one and all.

12:22 am - First Posting
This is my first posting to Live Journal. So far I have been reading journals of others. I have been thinking and thinking what subject I should pick up for my first post.
Well I think, I have to bide my time until I learn the site navigation. LochJournal says I have 26 friends listed and two of them have listed me as a friend. I am just wracking my brain who are they? May be I have to learn a little more site navigation of Live Journal and read lots of help files.
